UFC 116 may be the biggest and best UFC event for a long time. The main event will be Lesnar vs. Carwin. Two evenly matched (huge) heavyweight fighters. Lesnar is 4-1 as an MMA fighter (3-1 in the UFC). Carwin is 12-0 MMA (4-0 in the UFC). Both men knocked out Frank Mir in their last fights. This main event at UFC will be huge. We have two heavyweights Lesnar and Carwin who throw huge punches. Lesnar will defend his heavyweight championship against Carwin (who is the interim champion. I usually have an opinion about who will win these huge fights. I have no idea who will win this time. Carwin has the advantage when it comes to experience. Lesnar has huge hands and power. When the fireworks explode, one of these men will hit the mat and not stand back up. I can tell you UFC fans are 59%-41% in favor of Carwin. On July 3rd, the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas will be rocking. The UFC gave us a treat for UFC 116. The main event is awesome, but the rest of the fights should whet your appetite for greater things to come. This is the remaining fight card courtesy of UFC.com. YOSHIHIRO AKIYAMA vs. WANDERLEI SILVA MATT BROWN vs. CHRIS LYTLE STEPHAN BONNAR vs. KRZYSZTOF SOSZYNSKI KURT PELLEGRINO vs. GEORGE SOTIROPOULOUS CHRIS TUCHSCHERER vs. BRENDAN SCHAUB GORAN RELJIC vs. KENDALL GROVE RICARDO ROMERO vs. SETH PETRUZELLI DAVE BRANCH vs. GERALD HARRIS DANIEL ROBERTS vs. FORREST PETZ KARLOS VEMOLA vs. JON MADSEN This is an excellent fight card. UFC 116 should be one of the finest UFC events we have seen in a while. Dana White wants people to enjoy their UFC experience. He also wants to make a buck. Tickets for the event start at $100 and go upwards to $1000. You could spend forty-five bucks on pay per view or make a quick stop to your local sports bar. I prefer the later. The atmosphere at the local sports bar during a UFC event is superb. Mark your calendars for July 3rd UFC fans. UFC 116 Lesnar vs. Carwin is sure to fill your Fourth of July weekend with tons of fireworks. Remember; go to your local sports bar if you do not want to pay the hefty pay per view fee. This should be one of the better UFC events, so do not miss it.
